Biography
Mairi works with vision and inspiration to assist leaders to develop creative working environments which are productive and enjoyable places to work.
Value driven, Mairi takes what she calls an ‘Equivalent’ approach to leadership and managing people to find the best in them and encourage all employees to take active responsibility for business outcomes. She has undertaken doctoral level research on this leadership style and on cooperative approaches to Grievance and disciplinary matters.
Mairi joined GCC in 2006, having worked for 25 years in the public sector, in senior managerial and Chief Executive roles. Her professional experience in Health and Social Care policy and delivery and her extensive work facilitating the democracy lead to a leadership role in a governmental task force and active participation in policy making.
Mairi has run her own management consultancy and worked within the field of ecomomic regeneration, setting up a successful Urban Regeneration Company.
